Ava DiPretoro is an active volunteer. DiPretoro proudly supports nonprofit organizations that aim to empower women leaders and individuals interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) leadership. Over the years, she has actively supported organizations such as PLG, Generation Female, Women’s Foundation and Ladies Who Launch.
PLG
PLG is a program that connects young women with women leaders who stand as role models in their unique spaces. The overall goal of PLG is to harness the collective power of women volunteers to create long term advancements in diversity, equity and inclusion. The nonprofit is applicable to all industries and sectors. Primary programs led by the nonprofit organization include:

Generation Female
Generation Female was founded in 2020 in Milan, Italy. Although the nonprofit is headquartered in Europe, Generation Female maintains a Global Vision of gender inclusiveness and equity. The initiative is focused on combating gender-based discrimination across countries and throughout different industries. Generation Female supports women leaders in their personal and professional endeavors in hopes of overall success.
Women’s Foundation of Boston
The Women’s Foundation of Boston is focused on economic empowerment of women in Greater Boston and across the Commonwealth area. The nonprofit works to connect women with funds for high impact leadership development and develops economic programs that benefit initiatives empowering women. Ava DiPretoro is particularly proud of the program’s Women in Nonprofit Network, which is a joint initiative between the Boston Red Sox and the Womens’ Foundation. The overall focus of this branch of the initiative is to empower women nonprofit leaders.
